Founder, Portfolio Manager, CEO
My mother ran a cleaning business, and I worked alongside her for years. She was strong, but the work was hard and the margins were thin. A better future was not going to arrive on its own.
Investing caught me early because it offered a way to build one. I bought my first stock on a hot tip and lost the lot. The lesson stuck. I became the first in my family to attend university, and the first to leave with two degrees. Years later, I became a registered Portfolio Manager.
Then I did something unusual in this industry: I founded my own firm. The reason was simple. I wanted to manage money away from conflicts of interest and institutional priorities whose true costs rarely appear on a statement.
I did not arrive at that view from textbooks. The most useful lessons came from years of work, mistakes, market cycles, and learning what sounds good in theory but fails when real capital is at stake. That is why I have little interest in portfolios built to satisfy committees, flatter convention, or avoid responsibility.
WPM exists for clients who want judgment and accountability. Every portfolio represents a name, a family, and a future. I manage accordingly.
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
